'A Talented, Inspiring Advanced Level Piano Teacher'

'Born in 1991, Alex Chisholm-Loxley is a piano teacher, performer and choral singer. Having graduated from the University of Leeds with a BAmusic degree, where he studied piano performance with Ian Buckle. Alex went on to teach piano peripatetically for a year at Westonbirt school, and is currently a piano tutor with Your Space Music Lessons. A finalist in the 2015 LUUMS Piano Competition, Alex has performed as part of the University of Leeds International Concert Series. Also a passionate singer, Alex has sung tenor with the Durham Cathedral Consort of Singers, and has performed with the Gabrieli's as part of the 2011 Proms. Alex is currently musical director of the newly formed Ushaw Choir, and assistant conductor of the Crook and Weardale Choral Society.

Beyond performance and teaching, Alex also has a deep interest in composition, and early English choral music. He is also a keen chess player and champion longbow archer, having won the Wand World Championship in 2007.'
