Originally from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, Daniel starting learning to play the trumpet aged eight through the Wolverhampton Music Service. After working his way through the orchestras and wind bands, and playing with other local brass bands and symphony orchestras, he moved to Leeds to study for his Music degree. He graduated with a 2:1 in 2019. Whilst studying he played with the wind and chamber orchestras and joined the Yorkshire Imperial band in the championship section taking part in prestigious contests including the Yorkshire regionals and Scottish open. Since graduating Daniel has enjoyed playing with various orchestras in and around Leeds as well as returning to 'Imps' after a years break during his final year of studies.
Daniel finds helping others to improve their playing and musicianship really rewarding and enjoys passing on the knowledge he has gained over the years onto others. He likes do adapt a friendly and supportive approach and believes catering to each individuals needs is important to help them succeed. Areas that could be covered in lessons include (but not limited to):
- Grades 1 - 8.
- Audition preparation.
- Orchestral and brass band repertoire.
- Basic technique and musicality.
