Profile

Emily Neagle is a professional freelance musician, multi-instrumentalist and music educator from Poole, Dorset. Emily teaches Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Piano and Music Theory to all ages and abilities. She endeavours to make all her lessons fun with every lesson tailored to suit each individual students’ aims and goals - whether you want to take exams or just learn for fun!

In 2016, Emily graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA (hons) in Music, majoring in Saxophone Performance. Following this, Emily was awarded a generous scholarship to continue her studies at the world renowned Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where she completed a Masters in Music Performance MMus.

Alongside her Masters' studies, Emily was also awarded a FRSM - Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in Saxophone Performance. During her studies in both Southampton and Manchester, Emily has received tuition from and performed in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists including Vincent David, Timothy McAllister, Lynn Clock, Christian Foresaw and Jonathan Hulting-Cohen.

As well as performing as a soloist, Emily dedicates much of her time to chamber music including the Momentum Quartet who have performed throughout the UK and across Europe. In 2018 Momentum performed at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia, performing Guillermo Lago's Ciudades. In December 2019 they performed at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall as part of the Champions Tennis event. Momentum are currently planning and rehearsing ahead of the next World Saxophone Congress which will take place in Japan 2022.
