Hearing Music Subtleties

• The microphone and internet needs to be good quality (speedtest.net to test speed which should be more than 2Mbps upload and download)
• Ask the pupil to purchase a pair of headphones to be able to hear you more clearly - consider the length of the lead for suitable use at lesson time.
• Send a recording to demonstrate subtle musical expression
• Share safe links of performances. (adding to pupil’s understanding)
• Advanced level – ask your pupil to add a good quality external microphone to pick up the subtlties and allow a teach to critique as much as possible.
• Ask pupil to record themselves and listen to themselves.
