Lorraine Wild

Discipline:  Piano

Born in 1990, Lorraine started to study the piano at seven years old at the Conservatoire of Besancon (France). In 2008, she achieved a first class honours diploma in piano performance at the Conservatoire of Dijon (Burgundy, France), having studied with the pianist Thierry Rosbach, as well as composition, musical analysis and chamber music. In 2014, Lorraine graduated in from the University of Paris-IV Sorbonne, in ‘Music and Musicology’. Lorraine has completed a Master’s degree in piano performance with Ian Buckle, at the University of Leeds.

She has been particularly distinguished by winning the Leeds University Union Music Society Piano Competition in both 2014 and 2015. Recently awarded a scholarship by The Sephen Bell Charitable Trust, Lorraine has performed at the Lake District Summer Academy, having studied with Renna Kellaway, Emiko Tadenuma and Andrew Brownell.

In September 2015, Lorraine has joined the Music Department of Westonbirt Independent School as piano teacher and primary accompanist. Lorraine is also passionate about pedagogy, having taught piano for several years both independently and as part of Your Space Music Lessons.
