'An Experienced Online Brass Teacher and Performer' 

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Neil started playing cornet at the age of 7 in local brass band, Downshire Brass. A few years later he moved onto the trumpet, eager to expand his growing passion for music and exploration of different genres within various ensembles. In 2005 Neil graduated from The University at Newcastle upon-Tyne, gaining a BA (Hons) in Music, majoring in Performance Studies. During his time here he studied with George Parnaby, Tim Garland and Richard Martin and was very much in demand for bands, artists and session work in the North East Area, getting himself involved in various high profile gigs and touring work. Neil has continued playing and teaching throughout the UK & further afield with a variety of bands, shows and artists. Between 2007 & 2010 he joined P&O Cruises, where he played trumpet in the resident orchestra on board Oceana and Oriana respectively. Neil currently lives in Southampton, South East England working as a freelance trumpet player, arranger and teacher.
