Rūta Labutytė – Violin A passionate musician, Rūta began her violin lessons at the age of 6. She studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she graduated with a first-class undergraduate diploma with honours. She continued her postgraduate studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London where she gained a Postgraduate Diploma. Currently, she is a final year Masters student on the CBSO orchestral masters course. As a teacher, Rūta has taught violin in schools across London, Birmingham and Worcestershire as well as having private students.
She has experience in teaching students from beginner to advanced level. She strives towards bringing a positive and well-rounded experience for students. Part of music making is the joy that one can find in exploring different sound worlds, which opens the door to a whole new music vocabulary. It is absolutely true that music is a universal language, and Rūta hopes to inspire and engage the new generation of young musicians. Apart from teaching, Rūta has a busy schedule as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She is also interested in music psychology and spends her free time reading and researching around the subject.
