Thom Hardaker was born in North Yorkshire, England, in 1990. He started to play the piano at 5 years old, and then moved to the accordion at the age of 6. He studied under professor Harry Hinchcliffe at the Craven School of Music until the age of 16. Thom has won many competitions, including the Northern Ireland Accordion Competition, the Scottish National Accordion Championship, UK National Championship and the International Baltic Music Festival. Thom has completed 7 years at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory, St Petersburg, Russia, under professor Oleg Sharov.
