Olwen Macleod, Director and Founder of Your Space Music Lessons has been awarded funding to carry out music workshops for children on North Uist to help bridge the gap in music skills from primary to secondary music.
The workshops will help children gain a greater understanding of music notation, rhythms where they will also learn about composers too.
Olwen says 'I am delighted to be able to move forward with ' The Music Space' projects with a focus on building skills for those children moving to secondary music but also to be an environment to focus on music performance. We will be collaborating with local musicians for wonderful inspirational sessions too!'
Olwen is an early years music specialist as well as looking after a network on online music teachers with Your Space Music Lessons.
