About Jack
Jack Gillett is a Yorkshire born musician who specializes in instrumental performance and upper strings teaching. Beginning violin lessons at the age of 6, Jack went on to study both the violin and viola and has a vast amount of experience in teaching both of these instruments. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and French as well as a Post Graduate Diploma from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. During his studies, Jack received masterclasses from many international artists and was fortunate to have performed at the 2014 International Viola Congress in Portugal and in 2016 in Italy on behalf of the British Viola Society.
As a teacher, Jack has worked in a vastly varied amount of settings including schools, on residential music courses as well as on a private basis. Jack's teaching style is supportive and friendly, he aims to help students find a way to express themselves through careful consideration of technique and musical ideas. His students hold a 100% pass rate in both Trinity and ABRSM exams thus far. Ultimately, lessons are tailored around the students interests and Jack will always endeavour to make lessons engaging and enjoyable.

Taster lessons are free and last 20 minutes to allow prospective pupils to meet a teacher, ask questions, discuss music books and get used to the online format.
