About Lucy
'Lucy studied Classical and Jazz Saxophone at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Music performance. During her time at RCS she had the opportunity to perform for former US President Bill Clinton, sing with the National Youth Choir of Scotland with performances in Chicago, USA with the Grant Park Chorus and Orchestra, perform as lead alto saxophonist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland and later with Tommy Smith’s Youth Jazz Orchestra including recording on the Emergence album. Since graduation, she has worked as a freelance musician and tutor in both voice and woodwind throughout schools in Scotland.
As a tutor Lucy has worked with students of all ages from primary to adult level. She has worked as a primary music, woodwind instructor and singing teacher. Her online teaching has included students from all over the world including India, Thailand and Hong Kong. She has a passion for teaching and coaching people who want to develop their ability and technical facility as a singer or instrumentalist. She teaches all styles and have entered many students for exams such as ABRSM and Trinity. She has helped her students to prepare for auditions, performances and competitions and she loves to help nurture student’s musicality and performance ability.
As a performer and session musician Lucy has written and recorded music for Max Factor Make-up, featured on Australian Electronic Music Artist Blizard’s album Explore, released by Digital Empire Records and she has toured around Scotland with her Jazz quartet and performed her own compositions. Lucy currently work with students in school, privately and online, she looks forward to helping you reach your musical goals!

Taster lessons are free and last 20 minutes to allow prospective pupils to meet a teacher, ask questions, discuss music books and get used to the online format.
