Please read and confirm acceptance below of our updated terms and conditions.
Your Space Music Lessons Ltd is a web based company which brings live ‘one to one’ online music lessons into the homes of music students through a network of Appointed Music Teachers. Your Space Music Lessons Ltd is a Franchise Company and each music teacher is a Franchisee operating their own teaching business. Both you and your teacher are supported by the website of Your Space Music Lessons which enables you to book and pay for lessons, order music and provides other information, performing and learning opportunities to help you enjoy your music journey with your teacher. Your Principal Contact will be with your teacher who is directly responsible for your music lessons. This agreement is between yourself and your music teacher.
-
All lessons with your teacher must be booked via the website and paid through the website.
-
Lesson fees are paid to your teacher in blocks of 4 or by pre-approved monthly payments and you will be allocated a regular time slot to book in your teacher’s online diary. If you are booking on an occasional basis we cannot guarantee that your preferred time slot can be saved for you. We recommend booking your lessons 4 weeks in advance where possible.
-
Your lesson environment needs to be somewhere where you cannot be disturbed during the continuation of the lesson. Microphones are sensitive so you will need to make sure there are no televisions/game players or washing machines running in the same room.
-
It is important that all lessons start on time, so please be online and ready with computer or device switched on. Please have the Skype, Zoom or alternative video meeting programme open and your email messaging service available.
-
The next lesson after yours will also start on time so there is no facility to over-run to compensate for late starting.
-
If you wish to change your lesson time to a time other than your agreed time slot, please check with the teacher by email or verbally before booking.
-
Even though lessons are at your home, we respectfully ask Students to wear clothing that you would wear for a public meeting outside your home (i.e. no pyjamas).
-
For the protection of Students and teachers each lesson will be video recorded and archived. The recording will be confidential and will not be available to anyone outside the business of Your Space Music Lessons Ltd. In accordance with Data Protection you can request a copy of that recording.
-
If you wish to cancel a lesson you must give 48 hours’ notice to enable the lesson to be rescheduled, otherwise the lesson and lesson credits will be lost.
-
Refunds are not allowed if you cancel a pre-booked lesson.
-
Credits purchased in the Your Space Music Lessons credit shop are valid for lesson reservations up to 6 months from the date of purchase. Refunds for credits are not allowed after 6 months from the date of purchase.
-
If your music lesson is cancelled because your teacher is unavailable, you may be given the opportunity to have lessons with another teacher from Your Space Music Lessons.
-
If your lesson is cancelled because your teacher decides that the internet connection is not sufficient for the lesson to proceed then your teacher will persevere for 10 minutes maximum, then arrange for the lesson to be rescheduled.
-
Your Space Music Lessons respects the laws of copyright and will not allow unauthorised photocopies to be used in lessons.
-
You may terminate your music lessons by simply not booking any further lessons or giving 4 lesson notice if you are enrolled in an Annual Lesson Plan. It would be appreciated if you could tell us this is what you are doing.
-
Every effort is made to ensure you have the best teacher to suit your needs. If for some reason you wish to change your teacher please contact Your Space Music Lessons..
-
Complaints should be made directly to your teacher who is fully responsible for your lessons. You may also wish to bring the complaint to the attention of Your Space Music Lessons.
-
Additional clause (applicable to parents) - Parents of children under 16 should stay within earshot of the lesson in a nearby room. For some younger children teachers may request more of a presence from a parent or guardian to help in the lesson.
