'I studied Classical and Jazz Saxophone at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Music performance. During my time at RCS I had the opportunity to perform for former US President Bill Clinton, sing with the National Youth Choir of Scotland with performances in Chicago, USA with the Grant Park Chorus and Orchestra, perform as lead alto saxophonist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland and later with Tommy Smith’s Youth Jazz Orchestra including recording on the Emergence album. Since graduation, I have worked as a freelance musician and tutor in both voice and woodwind throughout schools in Scotland.

As a tutor I have worked with students of all ages from primary to adult level. I have worked as a primary music, woodwind instructor and singing teacher. My online teaching has included students from all over the world including India, Thailand and Hong Kong. I have a passion for teaching and coaching people who want to develop their ability and technical facility as a singer or instrumentalist. I teach all styles and have entered many students for exams such as ABRSM and Trinity. I have helped my students to prepare for auditions, performances and competitions and I love to help nurture student’s musicality and performance ability.

As a performer and session musician I have written and recorded music for Max Factor Make-up, featured on Australian Electronic Music Artist Blizard’s album Explore, released by Digital Empire Records and I have toured around Scotland with my Jazz quartet and performed my own compositions. I currently work with students in school, privately and online, I look forward to helping you reach your musical goals!
